Extra Credit Is Due to the Companies That Use This Value

Six weeks ago, we sought out to define each of our company values to those who don’t work at Red Branch. Today, we are halfway through defining 12 of the values that make RBM RBM. Upset you missed the first 5? Don’t fret, they are right here: grit, curiosity, naked ambition, accountability and get things done.

We’re proud of our work and everyone contributes to that end result. We want to give credit where it’s due. Check out our personal definitions of credit where it’s due:

“It takes a village to raise a child and it takes a brilliant team of Branchers to produce the work that we do. After finishing a particularly grueling project, it’s easy to sit back and say, “Look at this amazing thing I did.” Credit where it’s due means remembering the team you have at your side and at your back which allowed such success.”

– Jeremy

@jphogan

“People have a deep need to feel that their contributions are acknowledged and that’s why we celebrate our successes each week in our weekly meeting. We acknowledge and give credit to those that impressed us during the week.”

– Eric

@erockfoutch

“We have built this into our culture by sharing who we are proud of in front of the entire company at our Friday end of week meetings. A little public recognition goes a long way.”

– Kerry

@kerrypivovar

“Red Branch Media creates amazing work. What makes this possible is the incredible team that’s behind each project. We all work together, each with our individual strengths, to make everything you see today. That’s why we value giving credit to each brancher because that’s where it’s due. To quote Leslie Knope from the TV show Parks and Recreation, ‘no one achieves anything alone.’”

– Kyle

@KyleJCDesign

“We’ve created a culture here at Red Branch Media where people are not afraid to let others know what a great job they did or how instrumental they may have been in the completion of a project. Doing so truly instills the mindset that there is no “I” in “team,” there are lots of talented Branchers, though.”

– Shalaina

@ShalainaRBM

“I am more than happy to admit that this isn’t a one-person operation. We’ve got a team constantly delegating and supporting each other in each of our projects. We value each person’s contributions and it shows in and out of the office. It’s nice to work somewhere that considers you vital to the work and isn’t afraid to tell you.”

– Bach

@RedBachMedia

“Giving credit where it’s due can be defined simply as the acknowledgment and celebration of other’s success. Giving credit where it’s due has a powerful impact on the overall success of your team’s collaboration.”

– Kaleb

@kalebvik

“Credit, where it’s due, is the best compliment you can give somebody here at the Branch. We put in WORK and time to give our clients the best marketing produced in the Midwest. So it only makes sense that we would want to feel appreciated. Right? We give each other #Shoutouts and #ProudOf’s on the weekly here at RBM and that really makes our culture so unique for an agency.”

– Molly

@Molly_RBM

“Credit where it’s due is the Red Branch way of saying ‘Hey! I’m proud of the work you did this week and here’s why.’ Acknowledging accomplishments, whether it’s a boost in conversions on a landing page or simply making it through a taxing week, is a key staple of our culture. As an employee, it feels damn good to know your efforts aren’t going unnoticed.”

– Jimmy

@RedBranchJimmy

“We have a culture of appreciation at The Branch. We work incredibly hard every week to present our clients with a product we can be proud of and we end each week by coming together to recognize each other’s accomplishments. We give credit where credit is due — honoring each other for their unique contributions to the team so we can leave the office feeling appreciated and reenergize to do it all again when Monday comes around.”

– Alison

@Alison_RBM

“The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” Every Brancher has unique talents that contribute to the success of RBM. And we like to recognize those talents. Whether it’s through a ‘proud of’ during our weekly eatin’ meetin’ or an RBM award, appreciation abounds.”

– Maggie

@maggie_rbm

“At Red Branch Media, we work our asses off. To keep each other’s strong work ethic from falling short, we give credit where it is due. Whether it’s in an email, spoken out loud or announced during out Friday Eatin’ Meetin’, we all appreciate knowing that our hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.”

– Anna

@RBM_Anna

“Hard work deserves recognition. Showing appreciation for your co-workers’ dedication to their work after a long week is the best thing you can give them. That is why our Eating Meetings are so important. We set aside an hour of the week to point out the successes from the week because we know it is easy to get caught up in a vortex of negativity if you made a few mistakes. Positivity is infectious, so giving credit where it is due is a great way to spread the right attitude.”

– Nick

@NickRBM

“Each week on Friday, we reflect on what went right, what went not so right and what we can do next week. During our Eating Meetings, we say what we’re proud of for ourselves, of someone else and Maren/Eric/Jeremy say something they’re proud of from each of us. Giving credit where it’s due means letting people know they’re appreciated for the efforts the put forth every day. Tell someone you’re proud of them today!”

– Cassie

@RBM_Cassie

“Everyone at RBM works hard to produce fantastic end products for our clients and as co-workers, we like to recognize each other by giving them credit. Whether it’s during eatin meetins or simply through a post, we give credit where it’s due and show how proud we are of one another.”

– Madison

@RBM_Madison

“After years of writing articles for recruiting companies, we can confidently tell you employee appreciation is one of the biggest indicators of company success. Employees often need to feel their hard work is seen and appreciated. Thankfully, Red Branch excels in this area.”

– Mackenzie

@Mackenzie_RBM

“Great things happen in teams. Combined knowledge, perspective, experience, and skill make our results beautiful. The 40 hours of one person falls short of the work five people use in one day. It’s not the same, and that’s why we only have to credit each other.”

– Mitchell

@mitchell_RBM

“We put so much of ourselves into what we do every day both individually and as a team. One of the best things about Red Branch is that our efforts are never overlooked or passed by, everyone gets the acknowledgment they deserve and everyone knows that what they do matters.”

– Andrea

@RMB_Andrea

“We couldn’t do it alone. It takes a team to accomplish what we do each day. At Red Branch, we always make sure our team members get the credit they deserve. Not just every week, but every day we cheer each other on to meet our goals.”

– Hannah

@Hannah_RBM

“At Red Branch, all 24 Branchers give credit where it’s due every Friday. Letting our co-workers know who we’re proud of and why creates a bond within our company and drives each other to produce the same high-quality results the following week. Recognition raises results.”

– Jessica

@Jessica_RBM

“At RBM, every week we put in our full 100% to create the most amazing work for our clients. But we can’t produce awesome work without the help of our amazing team. Each day, we are constantly giving recognition to our team members for the work they have done. No one is ever overlooked because without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”

– Tridia

@Tridia_RBM

“RBM celebrates our hard work each Friday afternoon at Eatin’ Meetin’. Here we share why we’re proud of ourselves and our co-workers. Giving credit where it’s due means letting each other know our hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, and that feels good.”

– Jenny
